Concert Reflections

Now that the concert has ended, I’ve been thinking about how meaningful the night was. It was an honor to have my pieces—Daises in the Wind and Portal of Reflect—performed alongside so many other beautiful works. The variety of music from the other composers and performers made the concert truly special.

Daises in the Wind was written in memory of two people who passed away and focuses on how their families coped with that loss. Portal of Reflect invites listeners to look at the world from a new perspective. Hearing them performed in a program filled with so much creativity made the experience even more powerful.

I want to thank the teachers who guided me through the process—your support meant everything. And to my family, thank you for coming to the concert and supporting my composition. I really appreciate you being there.
